A happy baby is a happy mommy which means a happy family. With a baby in the house everything must be babyproofed from stair gates to electrical outlets. Since babies are more vulnerable to illness, it’s important to keep the nursery room clean. It doesn’t end there though.
The baby room must have a safe sleeping environment with regards to temperature and humidity. If the level is above or below the ideal range, infants will have a hard time sleeping. If humidity is too low, the baby will feel discomfort with a dry nasal passage as well as cracked, itchy skin. On the other hand, if humidity is too high then it will trigger mould growth and allergens.
When it comes to temperature, inconsistency is a big no as new-borns get stressed out because they cannot easily regulate their internal temperature compared with adults.
While the goal of having the ideal temperature and humidity is for babies to have a quality sleep it can also help avoid SIDS which is the unexplained death of a child under the age of 1 that usually occur during sleep. Keeping relative humidity between 30% and 60% is recommended by EPA. As for the temperature, the suggested value is slightly higher temperatures too, between 68°F and 70°F (20°C to 21°C).
With AirComfort, you can set the min and max value of both humidity and temperature and on the App, you can see if the values are below or beyond the proper range for a baby room. With AirComfort App you can sync as many AirComfort devices as you want and track them on one App. If a baby is getting quality sleep, then mommy is getting one as well.
