Cigars are delicate objects. When not stored properly (ex. under humidified) below are possible consequences:
Storing cigars isn’t just about not sitting them in direct sunlight. Temperature and humidity must be carefully tracked to make sure cigars remain in good condition. Too little or too much of it will negatively impact your cigars which of course you won’t like at all.
Having a humidor is one of the keys in avoiding problems in cigar storage as it can regulate the humidity level. AirComfort’s job is to track the appropriate environment making sure that the temperature and humidity level is right inside your humidor whether it’s a desktop-type or large walk-in humidor.
The rule of thumb when it comes to premium cigars is to follow the 70/70 rule. It’s true for real Cuban cigars or other Caribbean cigars that needs a warm and humid environment. The stable environment of 70 degrees Fahrenheit and 70 percent relative humidity will keep your premium tobacco in prime condition for a long time. Fluctuation in temperature and humidity will cause negative impact on your cigar’s flavour.
With AirComfort inside your humidor, you can track the temperature and humidity. In the App that comes together with AirComfort, you can set the min-max range of both temperature and humidity. If the temperature and humidity go under or over the 70/70 rule, you can see on the App the values are coloured red which triggers you to do appropriate actions like soak the humidor beads in distilled water or maybe shake off excess water.
Remember that too little or too much temperature and humidity will damage your premium cigars. So, better track before your wrappers crack.
Happy puffing!
